Amaretto, hard or dry, has as its main ingredients sugar, bitter almonds (apricot kernels) and egg white, without the addition of flavours. Originating in the city of Saronno, they are decorated with sugar granules, packaged in pairs, wrapped in the famous bow-tied tissue paper and contained in traditional and elegant boxes.
